We have an incredible opportunity for a curious, determined, and enthusiastic People and Culture Advisor to join our super team on a 12-month contract.

What you’ll be doing

The P&C Advisor will be working alongside our People & Culture Business Partners to support operational excellence and enhance a human centred experience for our people.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering critical pain points for our people and provide analysis of meaningful People and Culture metrics that will  assist in the implementation of specific remedial interventions to support yourtown’s transformational goals
  • With support from Business Partners, provide practical advice and support to leaders and their team members across the organisation
  • Support the development of new position descriptions and undertake remuneration analysis
  • Co-design and deliver manager training in Industrial Relations and relevant practices
  • Refresh and build on existing People and Culture policies, procedures and practices including undertaking research, drafting content and leading implementation plans
  • Coordinate the mapping and updating of People and Culture workflows
  • Design review and refresh resources for leaders via the Manager Hub
  • Manage some administrative tasks relating to confidential People and Culture processes, including the preparation and filing of correspondence

What you’ll need to thrive in the role

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position within People & Culture
  • Knowledge of relevant Workplace Relations legislation, standards, policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and conflict resolution skills and report writing
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to influence others
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Applications
