yourtown is seeking an energetic, highly proactive, and results-driven Business Development Consultant (known internally as an Employment Solutions Partner) to join our Browns Plains team. This is not a passive role – we are looking for someone who thrives in a target-driven environment, is internally motivated to succeed, and has a genuine passion for connecting young people to meaningful employment.

In this role, you will play a crucial role in creating, developing, and sustaining employment opportunities for our members. Your ability to drive brokered placements, group interviews, apprenticeships, and reverse marketing strategies will directly contribute to life-changing outcomes for youth.

Your role will include: 

• Actively secure brokered employment opportunities and placements for young job people.
• Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with employers across multiple industries, ensuring repeat and sustainable opportunities.
• Identify, develop, and grow new business opportunities while prospecting within yourtown’s existing employer network.
• Facilitate group interview opportunities, apprenticeships, and tailored employment solutions that meet both the needs of our employers and our young people.
• Proactively job match and reverse market members to potential employers, with a strong focus on securing sustainable employment outcomes for our caseload.
• Provide customised workforce solutions that meet employer requirements while supporting the unique skills and goals of our members.
• Leverage job clubs, job boards, and reverse marketing strategies to increase access to current vacancies and improve job readiness.
• Collaborate with local Employment Solutions Partners and Job Placement Coaches to deliver integrated support and maximise job outcomes.
• Work closely with our team to develop and implement innovative strategies that drive employment results.

• Proven experience in account management, delivering exceptional service through face-to-face interactions, phone communication, and digital platforms.

• You are a marketing whiz and are confident and capable in cold calling, prospecting, and establishing new employer partnerships.

• Can identify employer needs and align members to these opportunities effectively.
• Is an excellent team player who contributes to a positive workplace culture and shares a strong commitment to collective success.
• Has the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships with employers and community stakeholders.
