Reporting to the Clinical Governance Specialist, the newly created role of Investigator – Quality and Review will conduct file audits and investigations in relation to critical incidents, privacy/data breaches and complaints related to children, young people and adults at risk. Working in collaboration with multiple stakeholders you will:

• Manage an active caseload of client incident investigations, including reviews of critical incidents and non-major impact incidents, claims of privacy/data breaches and complaints
• Prepare and present investigation strategies and proposed lines of enquiry
• Conduct investigations including critical analysis, interviewing, planning and applying relevant legislation or policy
• Prepare incident reports and recommendations for the Clinical Governance Review Panel
• Provide recommendations on continuous improvement strategies and procedural processes
• Undertake client/program file audits
• Work closely with program managers and senior managers

About you

You will be interested in program improvement and will be someone who thinks systemically and revels in the details. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience investigating complex cases, in a clinical environment
• University level qualifications with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role and/or experience working in direct client practice, program lead or related position in the Human Services Sector
• Experience conducting client incident investigations, including interviewing, critical analysis, report writing and ability to undertake a transparent and thorough investigation process
• Understanding of child protection, safeguarding and duty of care procedures and reportable conduct obligations
• High level interpersonal skills and experience communicating complex matters to a variety of audiences and across multiple digital media platforms

This is a permanent part time position, 22.8 hours per week.
