Transition to Work (TtW) is the Australian Government’s youth specialist employment service that supports young people to develop practical skills to gain employment or connect with education or training. At yourtown, we understand everyone is unique – and so is their journey to finding work. We don’t just help with the job hunt. We provide tailored, youth-focused support for young people to get work, skills, and practical help to transform their lives.

your opportunity
We are thrilled to offer a dynamic opportunity for a passionate Team Leader to guide and ignite the spirit of our determined team in Kingaroy. This leadership role empowers you to propel performance and ignite the potential of our diverse team, as we deliver customised employment services to both employers and our young people.
Your role will include:
• Lead our Kingaroy team to boost site performance, achieve KPIs, and enhance employer engagement.
• Overseeing the site operations with a strengths-based, client centered approach while also maintaining a strong outcome focus.
• Offer guidance to employers and the team regarding labour market concepts, opportunities, and incentives.
• Identify skill shortages in the local labour market and develop employer focused strategies to support the team to transition young people into sustainable employment.
• Guide and nurture a high-performing team by fostering a team culture that encourages professionalism, exceptional service, and outstanding results.
• Proactively collaborate and consult with key labour hire agencies and local employers to establish and sustain ongoing employment opportunities.
what we are looking for
• Demonstrated experience or capacity in staff supervision, leading a team and the ability to coach and guide staff to achieve organisational objectives.
• Solid understanding of the local labour market as well as the barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged young people and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of program contract, systems, KPIS and the ability to drive outcomes.
• Relevant experience in Employment Services preferred not essential.
• Well-developed communication, liaison, and networking skills with the ability to influence and negotiate across internal and external stakeholders.
