About the role

As the Systems and Reporting Accountant you will be reporting to the Financial Operations Manager and are responsible for managing yourtown’s financial systems to best meet the organisations needs and ensuring all Statutory and organisational financial reporting requirements are met.

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare the Annual Financial Statements and ensure that the reporting is enabled within the finance systems
  • Assist in preparation of statutory reporting
  • Under direction from the Chief Financial Officer support project teams to implement new, and update existing, systems for the processing of financial transactions including expenditure
  • Maintain the integrity of all master data within the Finance systems including but not limited to Sunsystems, IPOS, Budgeting system
  • Provide a consistent and approachable point of contact for stakeholders relating to finance system
  • Provide training to budget holders and others in the wider organisation who need to use finance systems
  • Design and develop both internal and external management reports to better inform the business on financial matters


About you

What you need to be successful:

  • CPA, CA, or CIMA qualified accountant with a minimum of four years relevant accounting experience
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills and a high level of computer literacy
  • Relevant experience managing financial systems data and providing training to users.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to drive process and systems improvements within the Finance area and to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues quickly
