We have an exciting role for an Recruitment & Employment Skills Coach to join the Community Work Skills program in Social Enterprises. You will recruit young participants into the program and work with young people (15-24) using a client centred, strengths-based approach in helping them work through their complex barriers to employment. Part of a dual support team with a youth worker, you will provide employment case management to a group of (10-12) young people with the end goal of achieving sustainable employment

 Your days will be diverse but in essence, can include;

  • Assisting the Youth worker in delivering workshops within the Community Work Skills program around life skills, employability, wellbeing and non-vocational to increase work readiness and to successfully transition young people into employment
  • Proven ability to formulate and implement strategies for the referral, recruitment and engagement of young participants into the Community Work Skills (CWS) program.
  • Undertaking individual assessments and providing referrals to specialist assistance services.
  • Developing case plans and providing employment case management.
  • Partnering and consulting with the youth worker and key labour hire and local employers to create and secure opportunities for employment;

This is a full time, fixed term position until 30th December 2022 located in Kingston

In addition you also possess;

  • A solid understanding of the local labour market and barriers faced by unemployed young people;
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate young people and ability to work with culturally diverse cohorts
  • Proficient skills in using technology and systems; our compliance requirements are high and your administration needs to be on par with this.
