Reporting to the Data and Performance Manager, the Senior Data Analyst will support the data analysis and service/program performance reporting services for yourtown to contribute to improving the delivery of quality services for clients, and the development of evidence-based practice. You will also:

 

  • Collect, analyse and report on program and service performance and trend data to support yourtown’s services and programs and strategic priorities;
  • Provide technical support to team members through detailed data analysis, ensuring high-quality information is provided to stakeholders;
  • Undertake good quality data and statistical analysis;
  • Develop data visualisations that meet the needs of stakeholders; and
  • Analysis data for the development and preparation of media messages, publications and other resources in a form.

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor level qualification in data analytics, economics, science, psychology or other disciplines relevant to data analysis and performance reporting and at least three years of relevant experience;
  • Strong numerical skills and a good understanding of statistics, performance reporting, and the use of statistical techniques to interpret and understand data;
  • A demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of software to perform and present analytics;
  • A demonstrated ability to use data visualisation software like Power BI or Tableau to produce engaging analytics;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage development and implementation of stakeholder initiatives, as well as create lasting relationships with stakeholder groups;
  • Strong written communication skills, with a proven experience in preparing project briefs and reports that relate to complex issues.
