About the role

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of our jobactive sites across Burnie and Devonport. You will work closely with your team to increase performance and meet all required KPI’s. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Regional Manager.

As the Team Leader, no day is ever the same however, some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the two sites with a strengths-based, client-centred approach whilst maintaining a strong outcome focus;
  • Leading and managing the teams - driving strong performance;
  • Actively engaging the community to increase business opportunities; Rolling up your sleeves and increasing employer engagement;
  • Driving outcomes at a site level.

Remuneration for this role commences at $74,713 per annum + 9.50% Superannuation + $15,990 salary packaging. This role will work across Bridgewater and Glenorchy on a full-time permanent basis.

In addition, you also possess;

  • Demonstrated experience in Employment Services operating at a senior level;
  • Solid experience leading a team and coaching them to achieve common goals;
  • Strong understanding of the labour market as well as the barriers to employment faced by young people coupled with demonstrated knowledge of the government and community networks;
  • High-level negotiation skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders;
  • Excellent administration skills - our compliance requirements are high and you can keep on top of this without an issue;
  • Resilience, self-motivation, and drive.
