Based in an idyllic rural setting in North Richmond, NSW, San Miguel is a child-centred family residential service providing intensive, individualised support to vulnerable young parents and their children.  San Miguel aims to transform the lives of young parents and their children by improving their safety, wellbeing and life prospects.

The Administration Officer has responsibility for providing quality reception and administrative services to support the manager and site. You will provide a welcoming first point of contact on site to support clients seeking assistance and will undertake a diverse range of administrative duties for the manager and team.

Your role will include:

  • Provide a high level of customer service to all customers and stakeholders as the first point of contact on site
  • Assist in the preparation of documents using a variety of software packages
  • Calendar and meeting coordination and management
  • Complete residential agreements, collect rent payments and complete rental schedules
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, credit card reconciliations, banking, petty cash
  • Manage and maintain a centralised electronic filing system
  • Create and manage agenda and minutes of meetings
  • Provide support for special events planning as required

what we are looking for

You will have a strong customer service focus, with demonstrated ability to respond appropriately when dealing with difficult or challenging situations. You should have a genuine interest in working with people and an understanding of the diverse range of issues affecting children, families and young people.

You will bring:

  • passion, commitment and belief in young people and families
  • certificate in Business Administration or equivalent experience; and a minimum of 2 years administration experience
  • excellent attention to detail
  • well developed written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to be discrete and confidential
  • experience in basic accounting procedures
  • strong technology skills, including good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Excel
  • pleasant, helpful and understanding phone manner and attitude
