your opportunity

As the Infrastructure Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily planning, maintenance, and management of yourtown’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it remains reliable, secure, and scalable. Based at our Milton Head Office, your role will encompass managing IT infrastructure operations, including servers, networks, cloud services, and data centres, with a focus on delivering high availability and optimal system performance.

In this position, you will:

• Lead and mentor our high-performing Infrastructure team, fostering collaboration, innovation, performance and service orientation.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networks, and cloud environments, to align with yourtown’s organisational goals and future growth.
• Lead efforts to ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security, supporting business growth and technological advancements.
• Manage network operations (WAN, LAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancers) to ensure reliable connectivity across all locations.
• Lead the migration to and management of Azure cloud-based services, optimising cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, security, and performance.
• Oversee patch management policies to ensure all systems and applications remain secure and up to date, maintaining robust IT governance standards.

what we are looking for

• Extensive experience in leading and managing IT infrastructure operations, demonstrating strategic oversight and effective leadership in complex environments.
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification or other relevant certifications are considered highly advantageous.
• Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and informed decision-making for positive outcomes.
• Strong reporting skills and experience in writing executive-level communications and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills to aid in making data-driven decisions.
