Reporting to the National Children and Families Manager, the Family Support Service Manager will be responsible for implementing new strategic initiatives and operational outcomes across yourtown programs (Communities for Children, Glugor and Expressive Therapy Programs, and Family Mental Health Program); whilst growing related services and programs across the South East Queensland Region.

  • Manage the implementation, operations, and resources to ensure effective service and client-centered delivery.
  • Lead community engagement activities and grow related services and programs across the South East Queensland Region.
  • Manage contracts for funded services including liaison with government on the development of submissions and meet any reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage, inform and uplift child, youth, and family services.
  • Collaborate with business areas and contribute to data collection, internal and external service evaluation, and reporting.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team across multiple programs delivering a diverse range of child, youth, and family services.
  • Foster ongoing learning and development of team members through coaching, training, and development activities.
  • Develop, maintain and foster effective networks, consultation, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage, inform and uplift child, youth, and family services.
  • Role models and facilitates a commitment to continuous improvement and embodiment of organisational values while leading a high-performing team.

Role requirements:

  • University degree-level qualifications in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 5 years experience managing multiple programs within a multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Previous experience in effectively leading and managing staff across diverse community service programs to achieve organisational objectives and KPIs.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection systems and interventions.
  • Ability to establish new, and existing relationships across government, funding bodies, community, and industry.
  • Prior experience in the successful implementation of human services programs and services, including development and implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines

This is a full-time, 12 month fixed-term opportunity located in Deception Bay.
