About the role

yourtown offers tailored employment services (jobactive and Transition to Work) to help young people on their journey to sustainable employment. As the National Outcomes Unit Coordinator you will focus on overseeing our employment programs to support young people achieve ongoing employment outcomes.

Our Outcomes Unit consists of a high performing team of 6. This team delivers services and interventions, predominantly via phone and email, once a young person has commenced employment/education. They are also responsible for the timely collection of evidence and the processing of outcome claims, ensuring that they are in line with our program contracts and frameworks.

You will be responsible for inspiring and driving performance across this team. You will also provide Managers with strategic advice in regards to conversion rates, evidence strategies and contract specifications.

About you

A charismatic leader, you easily assimilate within teams and motivate them in achieving shared goals. You lead from the front, when the going gets tough (as it can sometimes do), you get involved and help our staff on the floor. You are creative and confident in challenging the norm when you see fit.

You are comfortable changing your approach based on your audience – this sees you forming positive relationships with stakeholders (employers through to clients). You are passionate about what you do, and have a genuine interest in helping young people so you go the extra mile.

In addition you also possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in employment services, including leadership experience;
  • Strong understanding of the labour market as well as the barriers to employment faced by young people coupled with demonstrated knowledge of the government and community networks;
  • Strong contractual knowledge and the ability to interpret contract guidelines.
