We’re seeking an experienced and values driven In Work Support Consultant (known internally as a Job Development Coach) to deliver tailored post placement and ongoing support to participants within the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) contract.
This role is focused on supporting members once they are in employment, helping them navigate workplace expectations, relationships and change. Working regionally across multiple sites in the Brisbane South East region, you will partner closely with members and employers to provide proactive, practical support that strengthens engagement, resolves workplace challenges and supports sustainable employment outcomes. This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys being out in the community, building relationships, and making a genuine difference in the lives of young people.
In this role, you will:
• Provide proactive in work and post placement support to members, helping them navigate workplace challenges and sustain ongoing employment.
• Partner with employers to provide advice, coaching and practical problem solving that strengthens working relationships and supports employment continuity.
• Deliver regional support across our Upper Mount Gravatt, Kingston & Browns Plains sites, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure consistent, high quality service that is aligned to the IEA contract requirements.
• Work alongside members in their workplaces to provide on site, hands on support. Flexibility is essential, as this role requires meeting members where they are at. This may involve early starts or late finishes to align with shift patterns and employer needs.
• Promote inclusive workplaces by advocating for inclusive practices, supporting role or task adjustments where needed, and providing ongoing support to members and employers for long term success.
This position can be based at either Browns Plains, Kingston or Upper Mount Gravatt, and will have a commencement date of Tuesday 5 May 2026.
what we are looking for
• Relevant experience in Employment Services, post placement support, in work and/or ongoing support is highly desirable.
• A high degree of emotional intelligence: self-awareness. self-management, social awareness, and relationship management
• The ability to thrive in dynamic youth focused environments and build genuine connections with young people.
• Strong administrative and record keeping skills, with the ability to meet high compliance and documentation requirements.
• A comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by young people living with disability and are committed to helping them overcome these through employment
• A results driven approach, with experience working to regional KPIs in a fast paced, compliance focused environment. You will work closely with members and employers to gather evidence for 4, 12, 26, and 52 week outcomes.
• An unrestricted driver’s licence, as regular site visits are a core requirement of this role.
