We’re seeking a dynamic Youth Worker to join our Skilling Queenslanders for Work program in Beaudesert. In this rewarding role, you’ll use a strengths based case management and life skills framework to support vulnerable young people as they move into employment, complete training, or continue their education. You’ll lead the recruitment and engagement of participants, guide them through their training and transition into work, and provide post‑placement support to help them achieve sustainable outcomes.

Your role will include:

• Conducting comprehensive individual and group assessments, providing practical support and connecting young people with specialised services where needed.
• Developing tailored case plans and delivering proactive, employment focused case management to guide participants toward their goals.
• Identifying and managing risk effectively, offering timely crisis intervention to ensure participant safety and wellbeing.
• Designing, delivering, and facilitating engaging life skills, employability, and wellbeing workshops to build participant capability and confidence.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers to secure meaningful work experience and employment opportunities for participants.

• You hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in youth work or a similar role, including effective case management of vulnerable young people, along with a strong track record in developing strategies to address the barriers to employment and education.
• Proven ability to deliver workshops and group facilitation processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a flair for networking will see you build relationships across a variety of stakeholders, including client cohorts, government, community and business group.
• Proficient skills in using technology and systems; our compliance requirements are high, and your administration needs to be on par with this.
• You hold an unrestricted drivers licence.
