With the experience and needs of young people keenly in focus and guiding our designs, yourtown is replacing its contact centre, marketing, digital experience, marketing and data platforms to provide a modern and empowering user experience for Australia’s children and young people and the people who support us to support them through financial contributions and Art Union ticket purchases. We call this program of work Program LEAD (Leading Experiences Across Digital). Enabled by technology, yourtown is undertaking its biggest program of works ever which will forever change the way we help children and young people.

To support this digital transformation, we are looking for a Digital Learning Facilitator for a 12 month period to support the organisation uplift their digital capabilities by designing, developing and delivering technical learning and development programs.

Your Opportunity

You will design and facilitate new and existing technical learning programs to help uplift digital literacy across yourtown employees. You will also develop current learning practices and create an ongoing learning strategy. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintain a willingness to initiate new learning styles and ideas.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver digital learning programs supporting the growth of people’s digital skills (collaboration, data analytics, cloud and more).
  • Perform learning needs analysis and share findings with the L&D team
  • Work within an agile squad and varied stakeholders to develop and implement integrated learning solutions across a range of digital skills that both provide impact to the learners and support business goals
  • Be innovative and keep up to date with new ways of learning
  • Review and report on program/learning effectiveness
  • Design digital learning programs and build learning resources
  • Facilitate learning events in live and virtual environments focused on specific digital topics or software

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Education, Human Resources or similar
  • 3 + years’ experience in learning & development or a training function
  • Demonstrated experience in design, development and delivery of a range of digital learning programs, development activities and programs that provide demonstrable results.
  • Strong consultation, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, across organisational levels and a variety of sectors.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated capacity to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to research, diagnose and articulate performance and learning requirements at both organisational and position specific levels.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to pitch and sell visions and solutions.
  • Well-developed facilitation and presentation skills that engage participants in traditional learning methods and digital platforms.
