About the role

yourtown is undertaking one of the boldest and most ambitious digital and business transformations in Australia. With the experience and needs of young people keenly in focus and guiding our designs, we will be upgrading our technology and improving our processes and practices across the business!

As the Senior Finance Operations Officer you will be reporting to the Financial Operations Manager and will support all financial accounting and transactional processing activities and other general duties within the Finance team.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Accounting
  • Support transactional processing
  • Manage billings and banking
  • Assist in managing the fixed Assets register including asset Stock-takes
  • Administer the Corporate card facility and acquittals
  • Managing and balancing the Fundraising Art Unions y ensuring all transactions are accounted for correctly and any anomalies are escalated when appropriate
  • Processing general ledger journals and reconciliations


About you

What you need to be successful:

  • Studying towards or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting policies, procedures, and practices
  • Strong relationship building, communication skills and a high level of computer literacy.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Experience working with finance systems.
