Based in an idyllic rural setting in North Richmond, San Miguel family residential service provides intensive, individualised support to vulnerable young parents and their children.  San Miguel is a unique service that plays a critical role in keeping children safe and well and keeping young families together.  Parents and children receive support from a multi-disciplinary team through a combination of on-site and community based interventions that ensure children are engaged in safe, developmentally appropriate activities and their parents are supported to set and pursue family and personal goals. 

In this newly created role, the Team Leader will supervise and support quality family case work. You will also carry a small caseload of 1-2 complex families. You will support staff to deliver services that are client centred, strengths based, outcome focussed as well as trauma informed, professional and aligned with child safe and vulnerable adult requirements.

You have strong case management experience working with young people and families, along with the ability to assess and manage risk. Ideally you have prior experience in leading a team to achieve high quality client outcomes and strong knowledge of relevant theories, frameworks and legislation. You have great communication skills and you are confident in communicating with stakeholders (clients through to DCJ).You are creative and collaborative by nature and will enjoy working through a different approach to each client and situation, and thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same!

We have two Team Leader positions available.  You will need to have flexibility in working hours, up to 8pm to support the team.
