Kids Helpline @ School (KAS) is an early intervention model which provides a proactive approach to promote wellness and increase the resilience of young Australians. KAS Facilitators are invited into primary school classrooms via video link to facilitate discussions with the students about key issues affecting children, and they work with the teacher prior to the session to tailor each session to meet the needs of the class. Topics include bullying, peer pressure, being a school leader, online safety, introduction to Kids Helpline, transition to high school, managing emotions and developing resilience.

Your role will include:

Reporting to the Kids Helpline@ School Program Manager, key responsibilities include:

• Respond to queries from schools and organisations wishing to engage in the program
• Provide a key point of contact by liaising with internal & external stakeholders, monitoring and responding to requests for general information
• Liaise with schools to manage bookings and logistics for workshops
• Develop information packages for all stakeholders including schools
• Provide effective calendar management for the Kids Helpline @ School team

This position is part time (3 days per week) 

what we are looking for:

You will be flexible to take on any task as required and will be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with the Kids Helpline @ School team.

you will bring:

• Certificate level qualification and a minimum of 1 year’s administrative experience; or a minimum of 3 years administrative experience
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and quality of work
• Strong ICT skills including experience managing online databases and MS Office and the capacity to learn new systems quickly
