your opportunity
As the Payroll Lead, you will oversee the payroll function and lead a team of three Payroll Officers in executing end-to-end payroll processes. Located at our Milton Head Office, you will be responsible for maintaining quality controls, ensuring key payroll deadlines are met, and guaranteeing that our processes run smoothly and accurately. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our payroll system.
Your role will include:
• Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering their development to ensure high performance.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processes for all employees, guaranteeing accuracy and timely execution.
• Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and regulations, including Superannuation, PAYG, and Fair Work requirements.
• Supervise the maintenance and updates of payroll systems and software, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Address and resolve payroll inquiries and issues, while providing support and guidance to yourtown employees.

In addition, you will also possess:
• Over five years of payroll experience, including leadership of a small team.
• In-depth understanding of payroll compliance, with comprehensive knowledge of superannuation, taxation, portable long service leave, and other relevant legislative requirements.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and other Industrial Instruments pertinent to payroll functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
• Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems, including familiarity with necessary audit and data management standards.
• You are a proactive team player who excels at enhancing processes and thrives on taking initiative.
