In this hands-on role the Trainer will be supervising young participants (aged 15-25yrs) in our work crew, undertaking a range of building and property maintenance tasks such as grounds maintenance, painting, patching, internal and external cleaning, general property repairs, office furniture installation and relocation, flat pack furniture installation, receiving and dispatching goods and car detailing. The key objective is to provide young people who experience disadvantage paid work experience combined with youth work support. The overall goal is to develop and build participants' capacity for workforce participation, so they can secure and sustain employment in the open labour market.

As the Trainer you will provide supervision, on-the-job training and support to the participants, as well as being responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to specification.

You must have a recognised trade qualification and relevant trades experience across a wide range of areas and a White Card. You must also have strong project management skills. A Cert IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.

You must be highly motivated, organised and able to work unsupervised with a small group of unskilled young people. You will have a strong understanding of OHS practices and a current manual driver's licence. This is a challenging and rewarding role for someone who wants to shape the tradies of tomorrow.
