Our services include Kids Helpline, training and employment services for young people, parent education and specialist accommodation for families. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of services for young people in Australia with sites across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania. This is a varied and fast-paced role as a member of the Performance & Capability team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders within relevant departments such as People & Culture, Strategy & Research, Practice, and Service Operations.
In this position you will contribute to the design, development, and facilitation of learning and development programs that enhance the performance and capability of the organisation through its people in delivering client services. This role will have a particular emphasis on training for staff engaged in counselling, youth work, family and children programs, and other direct client service delivery.
Applicants will have a combination of first-hand counselling/client practice experience, as well as recent and relevant experience in workplace training/education/learning and development. It is important that applicants bring a demonstrated understanding of the competencies required by staff to deliver and work within different therapeutic models when providing services for children, young people and families. You will work with the team to design and implement blended learning opportunities to a dispersed and diverse workforce.
More than just a "training" role, you will be willing and able to project manage strategic and planned initiatives that meet the organisation's business needs, as well as identify and address emerging needs and opportunities to enhance our workforce's capacity to provide excellent services to our clients.
This position will suit someone who enjoys the opportunity to work across the business to understand how we can empower our workforce to be great learners, service providers, and professionals. We want our people to embrace learning to enable positive change for themselves while working with yourtown, and for the clients and communities we serve.
