As our new Community and Business Development Manager based in Bridgewater Tasmania, you will contribute to the identification, development, implementation, and promotion of yourtown programs and partnerships which support children, young people and families in Tasmania. This role may have the need to travel intrastate/interstate on occasion.
Utilising a variety of networking opportunities, along with your strong community and local knowledge, you will identify program opportunities in line with yourtown’s service priorities and support their development, implementation and delivery.
This role will suit an outcomes focussed, highly organised and effective communicator, who has the ability to plan ahead, engaging with relevant stakeholders to create and foster collaborative relationships and partnerships that support further business development and organisational positioning. You will feel comfortable being hands on operationally to get things done, as well as having the ability to capture the imagination of Executive and Senior leadership teams, through a strategic and creative approach when presenting.
You will possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in developing new opportunities in the community sector. You will have proven ability in developing and implementing strategic recommendations and ensuring an integrated service package that meets demand. Essential to the success of the role you will have a good understanding of the workings of all levels of Governments and experience advocating to Government stakeholders on key issues. You will have strong understanding of the challenges faced by families and young people, as well as comprehensive analytical and monitoring skills. Knowledge of the local Tasmanian labour market, economy and local community is a must have, to ensure the successful targets and KPI’ outcomes required by this role.
In addition to the above, it is essential that you hold, or have the ability to gain certification for the following compliance requirements and prior to commencing work with young people:
Working with Children clearance - TAS
National Criminal History Check
Unrestricted drivers licence
