We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of services for young people in Australia with sites across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania. Transition to Work is a service to support young people aged 15-24 on their journey to employment. The service provides intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work-readiness of young people and help them into work (including apprenticeships and traineeships) or further education.

As the Senior Employment Consultant, you will provide tailored employment services to our young people with the end goal of securing sustainable employment or higher education. Every day will be different but in essence, you will be:

  • Managing your own caseload;
  • Goal setting and working with young people on their journey to employment;
  • On top of day to day management of the site and driving site performance; 
  • Cold calling, reverse marketing; strong employer engagement;
  • Facilitating group workshops on an ad hoc as required basis;
  • Handling site financials - purchase orders, credit card reconciliations.

This role is based at Kingston.  

About you

With an empathetic disposition, you are capable of fostering positive relationships that inspire growth. You are a doer and love to take initiative! With astute time management skills, you juggle multiple priorities on the go and trouble shoot on your feet. 

In addition, you also possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in employment services;
  • Solid understanding of the labour market and the barriers faced by young people when it comes to employment;
  • Strong administrative skills - our administrative requirements are high and you can keep on top of this without an issue. 

Remuneration for this role ranges between $68,428 to $74,139 per annum + 9.50% Superannuation + salary packaging. We offer competitive employment conditions including paid parental leave. www.remserv.com.au/salary-packaging/how-it-works
